Solution with Parallels and Windows
Windows: download basebird-32.zip or basebird-64.zip. Extract the folder contents and run the executable. Linux: download basebird.love. Execute it with Love2D (0.10.1). To get started simply use the new File Add Baseboard command. Additional improvements in this update include bug fixes and updates to the libraries in our bundled catalog of track libraries. RailModeller Pro 5.3 requires macOS (OS X) 10.9 or newer and is available exclusively on the Mac App Store. Currently, the Mac Pro 2013 is still supported hardware (as it should be as Apple stopped selling it only in 2019), but the relatively low sales likely mean it may be dropped in future Mac OS updates. It can run Mac OS 11.x Big Sur but does not support Sidecar (as of yet). The Intelligent Platform Management Interface (IPMI) is a set of computer interface specifications for an autonomous computer subsystem that provides management and monitoring capabilities independently of the host system's CPU, firmware (BIOS or UEFI) and operating system.IPMI defines a set of interfaces used by system administrators for out-of-band management of computer systems.
Embird for Windows can be used also on Mac with OS X operating system *. However, Windows operating system must be added to the Mac to allow Embird run in its native environment.
There are couple of solutions that allow Windows to run on Mac along with OS X. One of them is an application called Parallels Desktop 8 for Mac. Parallels Desktop is available from http://www.parallels.com. Of course, you also need to have Windows 7 or Windows 8 installation disc.
Follow these steps to install Parallels and Windows on the Mac:
- Buy license of Parallels for your Mac
- Buy Windows 7 or Windows 8
- Download and install Parallels on your Mac
Open Parallels installation file from Downloads
You will be asked to insert Windows disc during installation of the Parallels.
- The icon of Parallels with Windows will appear on the desktop of your Mac
Parallels Desktop and Windows 8 installed on the Mac
- When you tap the Parallels icon, your Mac switches to the Windows mode. You can now download, install and use Embird for Windows and all its plug-ins just as if you were using PC. Make sure to download proper Embird version. You need 32-bit Embird for 32-bit Windows and 64-bit Embird for 64-bit Windows.

- Project.project_url returns the Basecamp project's homepage URL (because Project.basecamp_url can be any valid URL within a project entered by a user)
- baseboard.helpers.update_summaries takes and honors a network timeout argument (defaults to 20 seconds)
- Projects now have RSSFeed foreign keys -- suitable for displaying a Trac change log or a project blog, etc.
